Campaign Finance Notice
According to Michigan election law, for each individual donor we must report the amount, date received, and the donor’s name and address. If single or cumulative contributions received from the same individual total $100.01 or more, the donor's occupation, employer and principal place of business (address) must also be recorded and reported. Also, all donations over $20 must be done via a written instrument (eg. check, money order, credit card). Please include the required information with your donation.
Contributions are not tax deductible for Federal Income Tax purposes. Contributions from corporations, joint stock companies, labor organizations, Indian tribes, casino interest holders, casino supplier licensee interest holders, and foreign nationals without permanent residency status (“green cards”) are prohibited. Michigan election law (MCL 169.252) allows individuals, including lawyers, to make a contribution of up to $3,400. However, as to lawyers, Canon 7 of the Michigan Code of Judicial Conduct prohibits a judicial campaign committee from soliciting more than $100 per lawyer per candidate. If you are a lawyer, please regard this request as informative and not a solicitation for more than $100 per candidate.
